AMMAY
I screwed up! When I bought my 2 12" L5s I didnt fully read the manual, the box dimensions they supplied were for a compact (efficient) enclosure, and I built that sucka and have no low end. Time to rebuild! Heres the deal...I can build up to 36x15x15, 3.6somethingft3. This is about 1.75 a piece. Would it be worth making a ported box this small, or should I stick with sealed? The woofers get 920 total watts, and I listen to rock and rap. Thanks!
Guest 90accordman
my L5 build for 2 12's in my accord was 6.5 cubes and i have to build it in the trunk to fit it, 1.75 each is a little on the small side but you should be ok with that as i think the manual stats 1.75 is the compact ported enclosure amount 2.5 each for street bass and 3,25 ish for SPL. i may be a tiny tiny bit off but i think i'm pretty close on those numbers. according to the manual your right at the perfect almost RMS for 2 of them
AMMAY
I dont have the skills to build in the trunk. Youre right about the specs, I just dont know which would sound better given the limited trunk space. Im going to build both and just see for myself. Can you tune a ported box that is that small to 34hz?
