I know these take a box with alot of cubic feet, and since my trunk is like super small, can i fit these in here with the right box or will only one fit? My car is a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Thats only 3.4 cubes before displacement man. But I have a 97 grand am and the max I can go is 31(w) X 14(h) X 24(d) which is like 4.8 cubes before displacement and 3.6 after port and sub dis. Sorry but I thought they might have some what the same opening. I hate my trunk opening! shainemcconnell Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 I do appreciate all the help fellas!!! i know its going to be tough, so even if i can get one 12 in there, id be happy, because i dont want to cut the car up just to put two big as 12's in it!! take a measurement of ur trunk find out what the max box size is that you can if if u have not already...play with a box calc program... and then asked question specific to that box size..might help out a bit more.. here is a program... http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html ha it is even re audio.... but yeah they should fit without cutting up the car, maybe "a little carpet in the trunk". davewms9605 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 Thanx for the help fellas, but i managed (painfully) to get two ported boxes in. I got one box facing up pushed all the way to the back seats, i needed them to breathe so i took out the factory 6"X9"s so the bass can come out through the factory speaker holes, then i squeezed another dual 12" ported box in and they are facing the license plate. Its got my ride sagging a bit and my 20's rub just a tab but Autozone got some knuckles i can put in the rear springs for like 10 bucks a pair. It beats like hell. Ill put up some pics shortly...Thanks fellas, by the way, i scratched the RE idea for right now and just ran 4 Hifonics Brutus 12's off of 2 Crunch P1500.1 amps. Ill do the RE's next year!! Now I just need to amp the mids and highs!!!
