the sam Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 just curious, are you worried about blocking all the sound into the trunk? nup they hit hard enough to shake my block with the boot closed the bass is huge even with the boot open they crank really hard inside the car thanks for the concern i actually think they wouldve sounded better if i sealed off the boot completely from the rest of the car but oh well, too late now btw this is my first true custom build and working with vinyl sooo...... the sam Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 nah sorry bro i aint got no pics of the subs, picked em up off ebay for 30 bucks au so i went with em bass kicker 200x2 i think?? and some random amp ifound on ebay too im an ebay junkie... oh as well, although ive finished this build, im always looking in advance, soo i need some opinions... im looking at possibly getting 2 (or maybe 4?) 12" or 10" solo x's along with a jbl gti6000 amp - rated at 8,110 watts rms at 1 ohm and im thinking of cutting out the centre rear seat and building a box linked from the centre console upto the rear parcel tray.. ideas? criticism? power? the sam Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 okay here are just a couple of pics from my rear tray, nowhere near finished but its on its way before it fits im no good at fiberglassing so i thought id try my own technique laugh if you like... thats all i got for now. i have done the other side but same same so i thought no fotos ive also bogged a bit of it and sprayed it black to see the imperfections it will be vinyled so it doesnt need to perfect but close too would be nice i'll get some snaps of it and upload them for you guys when i get a chance, prolly tomorrow as i gotta work tonight... the joy of working in a restaurant...
