  1. mmmmmmmmmmm IS 250. do those still come with the 2jz-ge engine in them? those cars are really sick if they are built right
  2. not trying to hate, but you realize that is still just all talk? nothing with you username or any real evidence. plus, a d3100 is IMO way overkill unless you want to be able to play your system for hours with the car turned off. but the 528 is a pretty nice car, would like to see a nice clean build in it
  3. i vote knukonceptz. they could prolly hook you up since its a large order.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-Comp-07C124-12-300W-Single-4-ohm-Car-Subwoofer-/290439516812?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item439f8b528c
  5. i know some people who know some people who deal some.....infinity speakers....lol
  6. thats a pretty decent deal for online. mine were $72 new in box
  7. any budget? PM CLNFREAK, I know he has a JBL 1400.1 sitting around. it does 1200 at 4 ohms and 1500 at 2 ohms
  8. YAY another taurus! if you are still open to suggestions, DC has a really nice one that will direct bolt into our cars. Then go to your local Car Quest and get a grp34 for under the hood and a grp 31 for the rear. they are a re-badged deka intimidator. batts about 320-350 and alt should be under $750 total
  9. I'm 20 and living at home. working 40 hours a week to pay for my 18 credits a semester at school. my parents said as long as i pay for my school and dont bring drama home i can stay until i graduate college. My system and toys come from my quarterly bonuses and tax refunds. Not livin the high life, but i just can't afford to move out. and yes its a major kink in the sex life. /end rant
  10. i know some of the new amps, infinity for example, will automatically back down the output until voltage is stabilized or until the amp cools down. not sure if the kenwoods have the same feature. I know that i've had problems with that amp getting very hot though, had it wired to 2 ohms on some D2 CVR's and it ran toasty.
  11. then i would go back ot your original drawing, but insert the line driver after the first y-splitter
  12. yeah, run the distro right after the second batt. not required, but the fused ones add a little piece of mind to your setup. The only way i know to fix the RCA issue is 1)attach a pair of LOC's to your speaker leads 2)buy a line driver or the best option 3)eventually get a different deck. but i'm sure you already knew that EDIT: http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32872 use this and then daisy chain the amps like crump have said. so the sequence being 1rca out>splitter>line driver(or not)>inputs of first amp>out of first amp to inputs second amp
  13. looks ok. On the main power wire i would run two different fuses, one close to the back batt and one close to the front. you can use the second batt as a distro, but i would rec a small fused ditro block. you can find them online on the forums for about $15. The deck may end up causing issues, in theory you can use the splitters, i'm just worried the voltage is already so low, that after the splitters your amps will be recieving very little voltage from the radio.
  14. when I ordered mine, i had them hooked up a week later. hard to get in contact with them, but they do stick to their lifetime guarantee. Great buy for the price IMO
  15. i would run it at 2 ohms. they are rated at 12.6, so if you have decent electrical, look for around 3k+ around 14V.
  16. damn, that does look good. i'm trying to think of a way to build a frame face so that i could basically screw the baffle to a weathersealed frame attached to the opening and then that would make the box removable. any thoughts on this?
  17. i'm hoping to not seal it off from the trunk. i will take the box out about once a month and i think think resealing it each time will be a pain. otherwise, i would just seal it, fire forward and be done. On a side note, i've seen trunks sealed off a few times, but i've never really seen any "clean" front firing installs. I know they exist, but do any of you have some pics for examples? and yes i have search quite a bit
  18. Max dimensions are 35x16x25 I've come up with 5.7 cubes after displacements. tuned to 30hz, but not too sure on how it will work. this is my first "big boy build" 2 15" RE SE subs (D2) 2 SAE-1200D all the proper wiring etc. Looking for a low end monster for daily use. I have plenty of extra power on tap, so the design does not have to be efficient, but more or less control the subs getting 2x RMS and i put the sealed option in there in case someone thinks it would work out better Please leave feedback as well, i can take constructive criticism
  19. instead of trying to rig things up, do it properly. its not that hard to run the wires to the trunk. Best Buy charges btwn 50-70 to do a deck install in that car and you get a lifetime warranty. so IMO either do it right, or pay someone to do it right. doing a ghetto rig job only causes problems down the road
