Luda Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 Im heading to my first SPL comp in july, its a MECA competition and ive got a couple ?'s in regards to the rules, if anyone could help clears these up for me i would be very greatful. the first is on classing, i am planning on competing in Amateur street, with 1 12" Type R, so from what im seeing in the rulebook i would be in the AS550-1000 class with a 60A inline fuse and a 12" woofer. {60x10}+113}= 713 is this correct or did i miss something? also i read somewhere that the inline fuse has to be within 18" of the AMP, not battery, but i cant seem to find anything about that in the rulebook, could anyone confirm this. also any tips for competing would be much apreciated, ive wanted to compete for years but never had the time/money, so im really stoked about finally getting into the competition side.
