davewms9605
Ok fellas, im starting over. Got a noob question. I see alot of cars, especially in my neighborhood(cleveland, ohio), with like 12 speakers ( for like 6 inch mids) in each door running off a 2 ch amp. My question is, is it safe to run these many speakers off a 2-ch amp? And if it is, whats the limit for lets say, a 800 watt 2 ch amp? davewms9605
So, in theory, if i had 12-6 1/2' s rated at 4-ohms, running off an 800 amp 2-ch amp, this will make about 66 watts to each 6 1/2 right? How would i wire them? In parellel? Also, if this isnt the most effective way of doing this, what is, especially budget wise? t-money
well the problem is buget and car audio dont go together. the best way to do it is run 4ch's. but u can use the 2 ch. just gonna be hard to get alot of speakers wired to a safe ohm load for 2 channels Edited June 26, 2009 by t-money Quote 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056
