  3. Numbers really dont mean anything. Lets be honest, literally everything affects power. hot, cold, box rise, parasitic draws, pre amp out voltage, grounds etc, dont go by the numbers. buy an amp to get a baseline and expand from there.
  4. They are bright as hell, Iv got the blue one in my S-10 and its stupid bright. When I hooked it up I had 17 volts lol it is really accurate though, i matched it with my IDEAL meter and then double checked with my fluke and its dead on! it reacts pretty fast too when my voltage drops when the subs be hittin'
  5. I have safety lug nuts on both my trucks, but they sell replacement sockets at autozone, advanced auto parts, napa, etc. So whats the point?
  6. Oh & I don't think id say RF is one of the best amp companies out there. RF amps are power hungry & efficiency isn't real high. About 60-70%?
  7. I run 1/0 from my stinger batts to my distro block & 2 2ft. Runs of 4ga. to the amps, same with my grounds. Overkill? Maybe, but I feel better about it running full tilt for extended periods of time.
  8. Screw that, I did the big 3 (soon to be 4) & I picked up about half a volt but more importantly I have more consistent voltage all the time. All that crap about heads, struts; exhaust etc. is overkill.
  9. "Good" is a relative term. What sounds good to you might not sound good to me & the other way around. I know my truck sounds terrible below about 30hz, it peaks at 39. It probably all depends on the setup and the car its in.
  10. Iv got a friend with a similar story. 2 15" memphis m3's on a 1500.1 backed by a hc600, port up, subs up in an extended cab mazda that claims he's doing a 149...so I feel your pain about other peoples stupidity.
  11. I compete meca & when I ran street I only used agu fuses. I'm in modified now and run anl's. I never had any issues with agu fuses. You definately want to tune higher than you are. I know where my truck is supposed to peak and I'm 1 hert higher than that & it seems to work but its my understanding that you need to aim for the 45-50hz range for spl and low 50's for drive by.
  12. In my truck I had a 3.9 cube box and it peaked @ 41 Hz. Now I'm down to 2.65 cubes & peaking at 38. I'm not sure why though because like punkrock said it should have peaked higher.
  13. got my amps back finally, time for a partial rebuild.

  14. I did a 136.8 at the headrest in my standard cab S-10 with 2 RF P2 10's wired to 2 ohms on an RF 450.2 amp. 3.5 cube box peaking at 41 hz...1 year later in doing 141.9 at my last comp with 4 sealed SS 12's on 3k rms which seems like a low score but im peaking 38hz. I think you should definately go with a smaller box for this.
