Ok fellas, im starting over. Got a noob question. I see alot of cars, especially in my neighborhood(cleveland, ohio), with like 12 speakers ( for like 6 inch mids) in each door running off a 2 ch amp. My question is, is it safe to run these many speakers off a 2-ch amp? And if it is, whats the limit for lets say, a 800 watt 2 ch amp?

Current Setup:

Sony CDX-7401UI

2- 12" Alpine TypeR DVC2ohm Subs

Custom ported box

4-American Bass 6.5in SQ-6B Mids

4-Pioneer TS-T15 Tweeters

2-Crunch P1500.1 Mono Amps

2-runs 1/0 GA KnuKonceptz

KnuKonceptz RCA's

1-Stinger SPV44 Battery

it boils down to ohms. the amp cant tell how many speakers it has on it. it only see's the ohm load. so in theory u could run 100 speakers of a 2 ch amp if u could wire it to a ohm load the amp could run. and send enough power to. so safe? yes but not the most effective wy to go about things

Yeah, and when you add more speakers you reduce the wattage to each right? bc i fought this for a while but i was told a 1200 watt amp will push a sub at 1200 watts, 1 ohm. but 2 4ohm dvc at 1 ohm would only get 600 watts each.

Current System:

Pioneer 6900 HU

Front Stage: (for now)

Soundstream tarantula 5.25 in the doors

Soundstream tarantula 4x6 in the dash

Kenwood 400.4 for mids & highs

Bass:

4 Soundstream RW-12's

2 Power Acoustik Stax 4000/1D's

single chamber box, 2.65 cubes.

Currently under the knife being bagged

So, in theory, if i had 12-6 1/2' s rated at 4-ohms, running off an 800 amp 2-ch amp, this will make about 66 watts to each 6 1/2 right? How would i wire them? In parellel? Also, if this isnt the most effective way of doing this, what is, especially budget wise?

well the problem is buget and car audio dont go together. the best way to do it is run 4ch's. but u can use the 2 ch. just gonna be hard to get alot of speakers wired to a safe ohm load for 2 channels
