Very Basic setup

Amps: Alpine PDX 4.100

Sub: Digital Designs 3512 (1200rms)

Sub Amp: Alpine PDX 1.1000

Pretty good setup. Only basic but it does the job. The DD cranks, best sub i have ever owned. Scored it cheap and near new. Alpine amps are so easy to use and setup.

Hey guys havnt been around much in a while so a little update.

Entered into a SPL Comp a couple weeks ago.. not knowing much about anything i was entered into Class A, i thought i wouldnt do to well and people were running some major gear.

Didnt have a Test tone so i played music and got a 134.0db for 4 seconds before the fuse blew. Only a cheap 60A fuse.. keeping in mind this is a cheap build :)

With guys coming up to me after that run asking what i was running they were very supprised.

Next run i played another song and got a score of 136.4db and blew another fuse in 5 seconds. this is into the 30second run.

Guys again were amazed the levels i was getting from such a cheap setup.

I ran out of fuses and thought i was out of it till someone lent me a spare 80A tube and i was back for the finals. One guy said that if i play a Tone i should see a 137. So i borrowed a CD and played a Sweep 45-35hz tone.

Started the run and got an amazing 139.1DB from the tone and blew the fuse once more. I was looking at the wrong screen and saw a 133.4db and thought i lost.. untill the guys came up and said amazing run and handed me prizes.

I ended up taking out A and B classes with a next best score of 135.1 in Class B running 2 12's.

Walked home with a Set of 6.5" Orion Component speakers worth $249AU and a 24case of Red Devil energy drinks.

I have sinced replaced my wiring with 2ga, and also a ANL Fuse and holder with a 120A fuse. so i should be good to go for longer now.

here are some pics.
