brewer_brewer
ok, now that that's sorted....lolAny ideas about how to mount this shunt in my engine bay? it will be going close to the alt. by looking at their "schematics" if thats what they want to call those since it gives no technical information at all. this is how i would hook the amp meter up. hook the plus and negative to your fuse panel or ignition and then wire the "shunt" in line with the power wire going from your alternator to your battery. this will give you a reading of the amps being put out by your alternator. BigJohnny
well thats what I was going to do, I mean how do I mount it safely, not wire it up. its a solid exposed piece of metal that will be connected to a high current cable.... I don't want that coming loose and hitting something. I'm thinking I might be able to just bolt it directly onto the alternators terminal post, and connect my wire from there to the battery.
