kooch Posted July 2, 2009 Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 not sure whats wrong with it. i put in a new xstatic 4000 batt, (pos. to pos. neg. to neg.) to my xstatic 3000. When I hear my cap discharging....its a tsunami 40 farad. so we got the light bulb and proceeded to charge it. Bulb went out and hooked power to it.....BANG!!! fukn spark. all of my amps are in protection they are all kicker ZX series amps. we took out the tsunami-(4 of the silver cap covers fell out) and hooked everything back up. I have 12.3-12.6 volts to all of the amps. when we turn the radio on, no sound and the Volt meter that just read 12.6 volts runs to 2.5 volts in 3-4 seconds. can any one help? i have never seen no shit like this before. any help greatly appreciated. shainemcconnell Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 hmmm....have you tried to hook back up with just one battery? usually, it is better to use the exact same battery when hooking up more than one, doubt that would cause you problem though. i would lose the cap thought..if it is still hooked up that might be the problem...you have the extra batteries...no need for the cap.
