steveyblack Posted March 24, 2007 Report Share Posted March 24, 2007 hey all my friend came up to me asking me how to get more bass for pretty cheap. i said didtch that prefab box and go build a new one, so we are going ot build i new one. im wondering how theise subs do ported? the box will be 2.2 cubes, 28 hz(Should i go with 32?) and how is 24 quare inches of port for this box ?..the subs will be seeing 300 watts each Quote =] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

07mazda3s Posted March 24, 2007 Report Share Posted March 24, 2007 What subs? 2.2 cubes for 2 10's seems low but I wouldn't know, I've only ever used 12's. Also for 10's you want to tune a little higher than you would for 12's and up. I think your best bet would be between 38-40hz, 28 seems way too low for 10's. 07mazda3s Posted March 24, 2007 Report Share Posted March 24, 2007 My box for one 12 is bigger than that. I'd add a cubic foot and then retune it to 38hz. If you keep it that size the bass is gonna be tight like a sealed box, but not loud like you want it. If you add some air to it, you'll get that extra kick on the lower notes.
