thehoe92 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 So I have a Sony 5.1 surround sound for my computer. there is an 8" sub that as an amplifier built into the back of the enclosure and then an RCA gives it the signal. today I took it apart and unplugged some harnesses in order to get the back cover off. took the front cover off and there was an LED to indicate power that I clipped and took out of the circuit. filled the box with polyfill (my original goal) and hooked everything back up and no power. I though maybe the LED was needed to complete the circuit so I soldered it back up yes red with red black with black and plugged it back in and left it to dangle on the outside. plug it in and the LED won't turn on meaning there is no power. I measure the plug on the inside and its getting 120 volts all the way to the fuse. I even checked the LED and it was giving off 1.5 volts and then checked it again and now nothing. Please Help!! Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
