thehoe92
this got stirred up the other night at lowes. this guy was sayin that you will be pitting the chrome and it will look horrible if you sandblast it. he said that your best bet is to get a drill with a wire brush and do it that way. what do you think? I really want to bust out the front end and get it all black. same with the plastic just sand it and get a smooth surface then paint it? Funny, I worked for Irish iron ONE DAY. Went in to weld, wanted me to dig holes first, then move up. But the place where he sent his stuff to did great work, and has decent walk in prices. 98crewcab
as for your grill, dont wire brush it. it will heat up the chrome, and promote peeling. use a red scuff pad and remove the glossyness to the finish. research the right primer , paint, and clearcoat and you will have professional results I have a painter friend, if you like I could find out what materials would be best to use tomorrow?
