kickerfanatic Posted July 23, 2009 Report Share Posted July 23, 2009 o.k this will be my temporary amp untill i get my kicker zx2500.1 fixed and my other zx2500.1 arrives.. i ordered a second one.. well i picked this zapco amp up today from a buddy of mine who bought it new and used it only 1 month then went into the service. he then came out the service and was no longer into car audio but did not want to give up the amp as he spent $800 on it when he bought it a while back... well he has always wanted a specific modified hand gun i had but i was never willing to give it up.. so finally i called him and asked if he still wanted to trade so he said gladly.. it was a modded .45 anyway i will be using this amp on 2 of my 15'' l7 dual 2 ohm subs both wired together to a 2 ohm load.. since the amp is 2 ohms stable.. but im a lil confused.. first the brithsheet that came with the amp says its rated power is 1150 watts rms @ 4 ohms but if the amp is 2 ohms stable then whats the rated rms @ 2 ohms..? the birth sheet nor manual states this info.. i am trying to find out so i can know how good this will hit my 2 15'' l7's untill i get my 2500.1 fixed.. does anyone have any info on this amp.. whats your thoughts on it.. and what should i sell it for when i get my kicker amps back..?? its still in the original box with all paper work and birth sheet and even the bus adapter to connect rca's to the amp... Quote 4 15'' kicker L7 subs ( only 2 being used right now ) 1 kicker zx2500.1 ( another soon 2 come ) box is 9.5 cubic feet slot portd thur the back seat 1 kicker zx650.4 amp powering 4 10'' ev dl10x mids ( rear deck ) 1 kicker zx350.4 power 4 8'' beyma 8mi100 mid/highs ( 1 on each door ) 2 runs of zero gauge wire ( about 60 feet total. ) big 3 done in zero gauge kicker wire 3 runs of 4 gauge for voice amps and eq' and crossover 2 kinetik hc1800 batteries in the trunk and 1 optima yellow top under the hood 260 amp irragi high output alternator ( soon to be 2 alt's ) alpine cda 9856 ipod headunit kicker kx3 3 way crossover & a old school alpine 3342 digital 11 band sound field processor eq.
