BHSskaterBHS
I have one more important question i forgot to mention. When i am changing songs i can hear thumping from the subs as a change songs. Or when there is not a bass tone playing i can still hear noise coming from the subs. It bugs the hell out of me. hdrox88
Yeah I really like it. I have a blue point as well. my grandfather gave it to me but its just been chilling in my tool box. Iv got a pretty old fluke too, but i dont use it bc its not as easy as my ideal, the ideal meter is auto ranging= way easier to use. Yeah, auto range is nice, my blue point does that as well. As for subs question. Are your rcas on the same or opposite side of the car from your power wire?
Lowroll
sounds like interference, you have any power wires and rca's that are close to each other? Lowroll
Do you happen to have a bad rca? try troubleshooting it as best you can. Its not like alternator whine is it? hdrox88
Disconnect the rcas from the sub amp and see if it still does it. What deck do you have? Edited July 27, 2009 by hdrox88
BHSskaterBHS
Some cheap kenwood that i got for free. I had to re-solder the RCA legs back the the board though cause the solders were broken. I am pretty sure it makes no noise when i remove the RCA's but ill check in the morning. hdrox88
Well if the noise stops when you pull the rcas from the amp then its not the amp. Next step would be to reconnect to the amp and pull them at the deck. If it stops then as well then it is the deck. If it continues, rcas are the guilty ones. BHSskaterBHS
Does this rumbling hurt the subs? I'll see what the problem is tomorrow. Quote 2002 FORD EXPLORER PACKED WITH SOME CHEAP SUBWOOFERS!
