And its a good amount more cone area. Unless the L7s are just horribly inefficient, they should be louder. In your case its about cone area and power. The 2 15s in a propperly designed enclosure will be louder than the 18 in the right enclosure. EricR Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 thats common sense man. 2 18's would be way louder than 2 15's in the correct enclosure. you would need at least a 12 cubic foot box and 4,000 watts rms. with that being said you would need a high output alternator, upgraded battery under the hood and at least 1-2 batteries in the back not to mention 1-2 runs of 1/0. alot come in to play when you start adding more power. Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
