i already have a tweeter and a 6.5 mid on the xover but i wanna add a 4" with a tweeter in the bridge to it....can i? they are all 4 ohm speakers. let me know if you need more info. i would rather not run another xover but if i have to then i gotta do what i gotta do.

ever notice how a crossover has a 4ohm load even though the woofer and tweeter connected to it are both 4 ohms as well? the crossover has its own impedance, and hooking up extra speakers to it can cause some funky stuff to happen, like throwing off slopes and crossover points, or blowing out parts of the xover itself

if anything parallell it with the input side of the crossover, just keep in mind the 4 will get as much power as your component set

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

parallel the 4"? if i did that then there would be no crossover on the speaker besides the HPF on the amp right. i just wanna make sure im getting what your saying. the crossover actually has extra inputs/outputs, like the speaker wires come from the amp to the xover, there are another set of + and - i guess like a pass through maybe. if this makes sence.

i dont have any pics and to get some i would have to take off my panels.... but the crossovers have two + and two - input spots, then the + & - for the mid and + & - for the tweet

but just to be clear you were telling me to just basically bypass the crossover. so i might as well just hook up another crossover right. ill have to see if my amp will do 2ohms if i do that

yup it will go from 50w@4ohms to 100W@2ohms. since we here and on the subject, i have always ran my amp on HPF instead of Full, and i have always used a crossover. if im using a crossover should i have the amp on HPF or should i switch it to Full?

it should still have a hpf, which will set a high pass crossover for the woofer, the crossover sets a low pass for the woofer and a high pass for the tweeter.
