Never saw that commercial. Thanks for the help. I'm hoping to get the first layer of glass down tomorrow. The current heat index is 102, too hot for me. I'll likely start in the early morning.

I started fiberglassing yesterday afternoon. I'm already 80% finished. I should have some pics this afternoon. That is, if I don't run out of gloves.

So i've been working on my first build. It's not complete, but I'm about 80% through. I don't have any pics before todays progress because I only found the site a few weeks ago. But enough talk, pics can say way more.

This is my first box. It sounds excellent, but only has 1 cubic foot of space per sub. I need a least 1.5, so I'm build a new one. Unfortunately, I don't have enough room for a ported box, so I went with a sealed.

My old radio bracket. The radio was too long so I had to modify it.

I used a 1.5 inch strip of MDF and body filler (not bondo) to mold it to the original. I didn't have any primer available, so I used a coat of black spray paint. It worked just as well. I only had one spot that needed work, but it's fixed now. That was a second coat to make sure I had it perfect. I will sand it when the rain quits, which will be a while.

The weather won't cooperate. Every time I go out to work on the truck, a flood comes out of the sky. :censored:

I had to rig up a tent using a tarp and lots o wire. The wind blew it off, and I had to re-rig it. The weather just won't cooperate. :censored:

Starting to tape off the area. I want as much airspace as possible and still be able to remove the box, so i'm using a combination of tape and aluminum foil so I can lay down the glass.

That's it for this week. It's too humid to fiberglass and it's supposed to rain all week. I'm hoping it'll let up long enough for me to fiberglass, but I doubt it.

I don't ever plan on doing a blow-through on the truck because I need the full bed for hauling stuff. It's a combination work/show truck/daily driver. I know someone's gonna say something about me using non-name brand subs. I listened to all of the subs the audio shop had available (even the ones out of my price range). These subs had very good quality. When I got them, I free aired them in my truck to see how they sounded, and my cell phone bounced off of the dash. I can't wait to get them in a properly sealed enclosure and see what they do.

Thanks man. Of course there will be vids when I'm done. I don't know if anyone's seen it yet, but I'm going from sealed to ported.

Anyway, All I'm waiting on right now is for the resin to dry. I ran out before resin and mat so I gotta go get some more.

I've been trying. I've been getting ready for school. Tomorrow's my first day of my Senior Year in high school! I'm gonna wreak havoc

But unfortunately, I'll only have time to work on my box on the weekends. I'm gonna try and have it finished by the end of this month, but it's gonna be hard. If I get any free time during the week, there'll be updates.
