D-train-13k
yeah man well good luck. personally ive never built any bandpass system. but from what ive seen the two subs are facing each other not litterally on top of one another but facing at angles. ^ <<kind like that<<< lol its hard to explain, the ports were on the back ends facing (in reference to that arrow up there) they would be down. sorry if thats difficult to understand lol i kinda had to improvise. if i had a pic id put that on there. but i dont. still good luck Quote The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/

I am assumeing that for a good bandpass the Thiel specs of the sub should be considered Quote 2010 IDBL Rookie 1 North American Champion 2009 IDBL Rookie 1 Fl State Champion 2009 EBB Fly Weight 3rd Place Fl State Finals 2006 Silver Grand Prix GXP :Diablo Audio Hellfire 1000.1, JL Audio 300/4, One 13W7, ZR650, VR690, JL Cleansweep setup. dred
I am assumeing that for a good bandpass the Thiel specs of the sub should be considered qts of the woofer needs to be < 0,3. the Q of the enclosure depends on the purpose. 0,7 - 0,9 for general music, everything above will result in the 'one-note-wonder' and eventually kill the cone because of to much port gain. Hope this ^^ is useful info, good luck with the built! :drunk:
shainemcconnell
thanks for the advice and offers of help....but I think this build got put on hold for now....This was for fun but we have other things we need to do now for comps. I guess it will give me a little more time to research though.
