sorizaga
HI everyone, I know most of the builds are done with high powered systems and high quality subs. I will simply start working on a new box for 3 15" kicker CVRs this will be on a chevrolet truck basically its a blowthrough set up. here is the old box my plan is to do a box for the 3 subs that is one big chamber Right now I have this box diagram or drawing that I have started for 8 cubic feet + port (110 sq inches) @ about 34 hz. anybody has a suggestions comments for the port area or tuning freq given that I will be having 3 15" kicker CVRS on this 8 cubic feet box The main question will be here what will be a good port size for 3 15" kicke CVRs subs they dont have that much of excursion , about tuning I can handle it but the main thing will be the appropiate size for this mentioned port. Meade has 120 square inches of port area for 4 18's with subs that have tons of excursion xmax 30 mm or more. But then I have seen set ups with only 2 subs with as much as 150 square in for port. well any ideas are greatly appreciated. once I get set with this port stuff, I will surely start the build with pictures and everything here. Thank you all
Zade08
I hear 15-16 square inches of port for every cubic foot you have.
