00_XJ Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Ok, I already have a 10" DC Level 4 D1.5 ohm. I'm talking to Rusty now about getting another one and start working on my blowthrough. So if I run two of these on a monoblock amp I could run them at 1.5 ohms or .38 ohms (which is out of the question), right? So if I run them at 1.5 ohms to a monoblock it would essentially be seing 2 ohm power? So I need to look at the 2 ohm ratings when I go to buy an amp? Sorry if this is noobish, this is my first time working with subs that aren't 2/4 ohm. 2000 Jeep Cherokee -DC Audio -Memphis -Audioque -SecondSkin -Pioneer -KnuKonceptz

Yep you got it right with impedence rise is would be seeing around two or maybe even above, and about the .38 ohms, I have heard that the Sundown amps are fine under 1 ohm(with a good electrical ofcourse) and with impedence rise and box rise would probably put you in a safe place anyway. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ 00_XJ Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 That's what I thought, I was also considering buying two seperate 1000-1500 watt amps and putting each sub on their own amp at . 75 ohms. Think that'd be a better idea? 2000 Jeep Cherokee -DC Audio -Memphis -Audioque -SecondSkin -Pioneer -KnuKonceptz

Think that'd be a better idea? That would work, it would also help keep box rise affecting your power output as bad too, either way whatever company you decide to get an amp/amps from do a little research and see how they like running lower ohm loads. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ 00_XJ Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Awesome, right now I WANT to run the DC 1000.1's and I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem. 2000 Jeep Cherokee -DC Audio -Memphis -Audioque -SecondSkin -Pioneer -KnuKonceptz
