OK so this is my first post on this forum and I figured I would start with a sorta "help me" post. I'm currently running two 18 FI BTL's in a 12 cubic foot ( dual chamber so there is a port for each sub)its tuned to 32 Hz. I was running Boston Acoustic Pro60s as my front and rear stage but long story short my moms car was broken into so needless to say she got a early Christmas present. So i needed replacement mids and the Rockford T162S is a decent set that i owned before in my previous truck. They are jus lacking the volume i wish to get out my mids and highs. The low end is obviously there with great authority but i wish for my upper end to have awesome SQ but of course play loud enough to hear over the deafening lows. I am up too any suggestions from anyone.

Hertz and Focal are high end components ($300-$500+).

I prefer Hertz. :) (I'm getting the high energy Hertz comps probably later)

x2 ^^ and by power meaning a nice amp not some Kicker 650.4 because it won't make the comps sound as good as they are (that is if you are going for SQ)

I would recommend a DD, Focal, Audison, or Hertz amp with high end comps but that's just me. :)

Thanks so far for all the input I'm lookin at the Focal Access 165A3. I know it's not their top of the line but I'm lookin to put a 4 inch mid in my pillar any ways and this set is a three way. I have never usd Focal before would one set of these be loud enough to hear clearly over the BTLs or should I look at two sets (two 6.5s, two 4s and two tweets) for the front stage.

make sure to not skimp on the amp for the amps too.

im running sets of phoenix gold rsd's on my exploder and they get really fairly loud with decent sq. it cost me less than 200 for all 3 of them.

the problem is you have find a way to mount them

it can keep up with 150db of bass

I agree completely - Hertz Technologies is insane, and Focal's are drool-worth.

So nobody out of 25,000 members has any suggestions for mids and highs?
