running into problems with the tocoma

well i went to connect the positive run of wire and as i started disconnecting the battery the alarm kept going off i went ahead and finished disconecting the battery then connected the positive run of wire then as i was reconecting it the battery the alarm started going off again then i tightened it all the way then waited for the alarm to go off then i tried to start the car and only the battery will go on it wont click or anything when i take the key out the alarm beeps

what do i do?

You shoulda unhooked the ground the battery first before you started hooking up the positive wire.

what brand alarm is it.did you try pushing the disarm button :01nocomment8so:

idk it is just the one that come with the car

yeah i realize that now i never did it with my old car and it was fine so i didnt think to do it with this car

any ideas on how i can get it to start?
