aero ports

Recommended Posts

With pvc, stick with 12-16in^2 per cubic foot.

3.14*r^2

that means about 3 or 4-4" ports? what about the length of each?

5.2 b4 displacement. so your at about 4.8 after. use the12volt or bcae1.com and itll calculate how long you need them.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

i want it to be about 5 after displacement, so when im putting in the box volume in the12volt.com's calculator, do i put in the cu ft (after) or (before) displacement? i put in 16 inches (4-4" ports), 5 cu ft, and a 34hz freq...got 82.042inches. is this correct?

Aeros are a bit different. You can use about 8-10in^2/cube. PVC pipe on the other hand still goes by 12-16in^2/cube. And its figured by r*r*3.14...... Where did you get 10 or 11 with 5 cubes? realistically you can squeeze by with about (6) 3" aero ports

Well the area of a 3" circle is 4.71 sq. in.

So having a minumum of 12 sq in per cube = (5 Cubes * 12) = 60

60/4.71= 12.74 = Which is how many ports you'll need.

But I too read somewhere where it stated for aero ports it's less.
