not thread jackin... just a quick question, when putting suede on the head liner do you just put it over the old fabric with adhesive or take off the old fabric and actually redo it?

how do you get it on the glove compartment so clean?

was it hard to stretch around the curves and what not?

EDIT: a lot of people say to take off the old material but IMO if its still in tact and in good condition just put it over its more cushion for the suede its not much different the glue you use for the headliner should be strong enough to hold on top anything otherwise its not good enough to be used for the headliner because it will get hot and start to sag

Fine by me -

from my experience doing it, pulling the old off and putting new suede on is safe in the long run

why

new suede and spraying the glue will pull the old material off and start sagging

and taking the old matteral off will give the suede a better grip to hang on being in a vertical position

also if you go suede over stock material is may be to thick to put back on and seal good and look flush

Woot, just ordered 3 yards from there to test it out. I'm gonna do my headliner and some door accents and I'll order some more if I like it and do the rest of my interior. Thanks for the link, that's the cheapest I've found it.

Edit: Spelling >Me

Edit #2: It seems like every time I get on SMD, I end up spending money. Decided to get on again before I went to bed, saw this and spent 35 bucks, FML. I'd probably be hella rich if I never found this site lol, damn you guys.

no that suede worked great because it has a backing on it so you can soak it completely with glue and it will not leak onto the suede side

it does not stretch to much but just enough - the key also was to know where to cut it to keep it tight on the edges

you just have to look at it and see where you need to cut it, then spray the back side and get it on they pull the corners tight

i just used 3m spay can glue for my car, just incase i wanted to take it off if it was damage the part would not be gummy been sticking on for a yr and i made a test part to see how hard to get the glue off if needed, cause eclipse parts are not cheap and using the 3m adhesive can works awesome

Has anyone used this on a whole dash? I'm trying to get rid of all the tan in my interior and "murder" it out but I don't want to mess with painting it and thought a suede dash would look sweet.
