djdonovan1 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 Well the subs came in today so I should start building the box tomorrow or friday as long as this rain stops. I guess I'm going to just go by the specs of the subs and build a basic vented box to 14 cu. ft total with a 10 by 10 flared square vent because the specs say 2 4 inch diameter ports at 18.5 inches long per sub. Thats 25.12 square inches of port per sub so I just rounded it to 25 square inches and 4 subs equals 100 square inches. Unless someone has any suggestions on the port size, this is what I will build. It is a daily driver and I want to at least get into the 150s because I will do sound offs. The 146 I got was definitely not loud enough for me.
