Guest
arent they basically the same woofer but with different cones? kicker calls the CVX the "circle version of the L7" but loudness is all in the box design. shitty box = shitty sound. good box = great sound Edited September 12, 2009 by Krannyman92
CaptainzPlanetz
I have the CVX's and they get pretty damn loud, theoretically the L7 could be potentially a little louder due to cone area, but let me tell you from personal exp. the CVX's sound alot cleaner and get plenty as loud as the L7's. Due to cone area the L7's may have like .3 db louder, but to me sound sorta muddy. Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ Steph3n1
ok if its 15'si would go with the cvx's i dont like the l7's bacause a) they dont have as good of an excursion due to the square shape of the cone. and you really dont gain much at all when it comes to cone area from square to round. what kind of enclosure are you planning on putting them in and what will it be tuned to? Guest
i have the cvxs and love them i know some1 with the l7 the dont sound good at all to me plus i have heard of more people blowin the l7 the only way you can blow a sub is by clipping the shit out of it, or overpowering it. im gonna bet the people you heard blowing their L7's is because of clipping. and as far as the sound. its all in the box design.
