Selling a sub on eBay?

I've got an Adire Audio Shiva that I'm trying to sell. I've put it up on Craigslist four times over the last few months with not even a nibble. I'm thinking of trying to sell it on eBay but am kind of hesitant to do so. I don't know for sure if it even still works, but there's no reason that it shouldn't. It's been sitting in my closet for the last several years and still looks brand new.

If I do try and sell it, what would be the best way to package it for shipment. Packaging it wrong and having it damaged in transit is the thing that makes me the most nervous about selling it even though I'd definately buy insurance for it. How about putting it in a smaller box and then packing that in a large box full of packing peanuts or something of the sort? I still can't decide on a good starting price either. Not sure what one would fetch since Adire is no longer in business.
