raytard
hear it generally low fs and a "dead" material for the cone are god determinants, but the box and tuning make a huge difference too Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
Andrew2944r
Typically a sub with a low Fs will be more geared towards SQ, such as RE XXX, Treo SSX, SoundSplinter and so on. Quote Team Ampere Audio

I think the general rule of thumb is it cannot be able to produce over 130db... and the smaller the better, the less impressive it looks the better it should sound. iv been ridiculed for thinking an 18" sub can sound Great @ SQ...& handle an SPL comp when it needs too / changing boxxs of corse :01nocomment8so: Edited September 28, 2009 by Lord Baccus
