When your looking for a nice sounding sub is there anything you can look at in the spec's to see if its going to sound good? or is hearing it the only way to know?

Typically a sub with a low Fs will be more geared towards SQ, such as RE XXX, Treo SSX, SoundSplinter and so on.

I think the general rule of thumb is it cannot be able to produce over 130db...

and the smaller the better, the less impressive it looks the better it should sound.

iv been ridiculed for thinking an 18" sub can sound Great @ SQ...& handle an SPL comp when it needs too / changing boxxs of corse
