Engine noise/gain hiss are the most common issues in car stereo's involving a 4ch amplifier. It could literally be ANYTHING. Start off by checking that your gains are set properly. Then check all of your grounds. ALL of them; amp, HU, battery, etc... Next make sure your RCAs are run at least 6-12 inches away from any other major vehicle wiring(including the amp power wire), and if it has to cross any that it does so at a 90 degree angle. After all that if you still have problems you may have to move the ground(poor ground potential or shared ground paths can cause noise). Even after all that there are still things that could be causing noise. GL troubleshooting.

Engine noise, or any system noise for that matter, is going to be more apparent with the volume turned down.

Does it still do it if the car isn't running? Does the volume of the buzzing change with the volume of the music? There are a lot of things to consider when troubleshooting a 4ch amplifier. Just "I added a 4ch and now there is a buzzing noise" doesn't tell me anything. You could need to ground your RCA's, You could have your gains set wrong, You could have a bad ground point, you could have your RCA's ran near major vehicle electrical wires and its picking up noise, you could have a bad amp, your hu could have bad RCA out. Like I said, ANY noise from a 4ch could be ANYTHING. If you want more specific suggestions, maybe post what kind of car you drive, your HU, your 4ch, wires, pics of wires and how they are ran, pics of ground points, stuff like that. Even still, with that information, noise is hard to troubleshoot.
