Amp Ideas?

Alright I have two 15" Kicker L7's I was thinking of getting two Kicker ZX 1000.1 i mean i like to keep it all kicker but if there is a cheaper amp i can get that will sound just as good and push the subs just as well as that would I'd like to know.

I would get a Fosgate amp. They go well with Kicker subs. Maybe like the T1500-1bd or T2500-1bd. BTW, are they 2 ohm or 4 ohm?

they are both 4 ohm i was gona amp each seperate and wire them down to 2 ohm. but Fosgate amps arnt cheap haha, i get dealer cost with Kicker. =P

Instead of 2 amps, think about 1 mono amp and wire the 2 subs together which would drop the amp down to 1 ohm.

yeah but Kicker amps dont handle 1 ohm which messes that up because i was gona get a 2500.1 but it isnt 1 ohm stable

Instead of 2 amps, think about 1 mono amp and wire the 2 subs together which would drop the amp down to 1 ohm.

I like running 1 amp per sub in set-ups using only 2 subs, it helps keep the rise down.

Sounds like you have your mind made up. Can't go wrong wtih 2 1000.1's It would pound for sure.

IMO yes, not too hard either, it may be a bit more expensive, but I think it will perform better than a single 2K rms amp.

And in your case all you have to have is a run of 1/0 to the back, with a distribution block and run the 1/0 in and a run of 4 gauge to go to each amp.

yeah i get dealer cost on everything i order my amps are 400 a peice and im getting a HC1400 for like 150$ and my wires are really cheap . but yeah its gona pound icant wait= ]
