skittlesRgood Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 do you know what ohm load you are running them at? for lower end subs like yours, i wouldnt go much over rms. so when you pic an amp make sure it doesnt go higher than 700wrms at the ohm load you are presenting. like if you were at 2ohms, a sundown 1000d should work pretty well but if your at 1ohm itll give them a little too much power. no one likes to chime in on these questions unless you give more info. mostly how much you want to spend. skittlesRgood Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) use this. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp or use a DMM and set it to ohms then check the speaker wire at the amp. almost every amp puts out different power and different ohm loads. so you could buy a 2000w amp but have your subs wired to 8ohm and only be getting 400w out of it. feel free to pm me if you need more help.
