New amp, need help setting it up.

Hey, Im new here and well...

I just got a new autotek 1000 watt amp. and a 15" audiobahn subwoofer.

I need a little help setting the amp up, i got a infinity w211 radio (stock with the eclipse)

What should I set the level on the amp to? amp dosnt really have many settings just DB boost, cut offs for lows and highs, and level. can turning it up all the way damage it?

for one, i wouldnt touch the DB Boost if you dont know what youre doing with it. if you start turning knobs your MORE than likely to mess something up

im guessing that if it has a cutoff for lows and highs that its a class AB amp. you should flip the switch on the amp to Low Pass (LP) and turn the LPF (Low Pass Filter) up to about 80. then turn the gain up until you hear things starting to sound like sh*t then back it down a little bit.

thats a quick and dirty way to tune your amp. its not the correct way, but itll get you rolling.
