well i got me a hifonics zeus 4406 and i have it setup as of now left 6&1/2 comp set and rear 6&1/2 coax on left front channel, same thing for right front channel

on rear channel i have my 8's wired to 2ohm on either side

well i just put this amp in n i tuned it like i did my memphis pr150.2 n i was jammin out n what knot n i smelt somethin like a blown cap smells that go to tweets n now my left side mids n highs dont work, could i have blown that channel on the amp or blown those speakers?

this amp does 110wrms @2ohm n my memphis does 150rms @2ohm so i dnt see how the hell it could have happined

ive tryed switchin other rcas n that didn't work, if i blew that channel on the amp im out $100 or will hifonics fix it?

if i blew em then i can just throw my polk db's in there n go from there on but i unno, i mean i liked how my kickers sounded, they got real loud n clean too, n mellowed in with my 8's n 15's perfectly

i spent $150 for the kx6&1/2'' comps n $30 for the kx6&1/2'' coax so ima be out almost $200 to replace em

i unno wtf to do, ive never blown mids n highs befor

could this hifonics have more power @2ohm than 110w?

i have a duralast gold 950amp batter under hood, stinger sp800 in back, 70amp stock alt, big 3 in 0guage, memphis pr1000.1 wired to 2ohm puttin out roughly 800+rms and my hifonics zeus 4406 wired to 2ohm on all 4 channels

i need help asap, i want to get back to jammin again, just hope i didn't fuck up the amp :cray:

I would try switching your left and right front channels' speaker outputs and see what happens. If your left speakers still don't work, start working down the line from there. If your right speakers stop and the lefts work, it's something to do with the amp.

I would check your mids and highs with a DMM and see if they still read ok as far as impedance and then go from there it sounds like you let the magic smoke out of something and a meter will tell ya where

i'll check ohm load tommrow, if it still reads 2ohm does that mean the amp is shot?

im kinda more conserned about the amp but still want to keep a complete set of mids n highs

this amp has a 2ch and 4ch mode switch n when i hooked it up in my bedroom it was a lil tricky to get set right for all 4 to work off there set eq tuneing, so i unno that might have gone wrong

i dought i clipped em cause i have 150 goin to em befor n never had a prob so i unno, hope its nothin to bad

i hate when shit messes up
