But most of the time either store won't charge you for cuts and if they do it's very minimal. I built my first real box sunday, and because i dont have all the tools to cut the wood perfectly i expected them to know what they were doing. WRONG! The two turds there were too busy talking about a threesome they had to know what the fuck they were doing. After telling the first one the dimensions i needed three times he cut it wrong. second piece wrong... third piece wrong and so on. lesson learned. Nirvalica Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I've gotten mine cut at home depot and lowes a few times. Usually they are slightly off, but I never get charged for the cuts. This last time, the saw wasn't square at all. It made it tough to put the box together. I think most of it is just having the guy take him time to do it. I had a friend that worked at home depot and I got him to cut it for me. Those cuts turned out perfect. Maybe a hair off in only a few places. Also what I try to do is find a damaged piece of MDF, and just have them cut around it. They'll usually give it to you for half price. My Youtube Page.
