DEEz NUTz Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) i just got my batts today 2 1000 ca optimas both under hood of 01 tahoe....i did the big 3.... now i have 1 batt. running from orig. location like normal, question how do i wire the other in ? do i just run 0 gauge from the alt to 2nd batt. and ground it ? or do i need to run like previous but run another 0 gauge to 1st. batt. ? hope i didnt confuse n e body.......... Or either wire in series, front + to back -, front - to back +. That's only ways i've ever wired an extra battery, also don't forget to throw 2 fuses in there, 1 close to front battery, other close to 2nd battery both are under the hood bruh.. LordArcane Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 + to + / - to - from each of the batterys the alt will charge them both as long as they are hooked together, and not sure if you want to run them + to - like other guy said, i might be wrong here but wouldn't that make his voltage 24 instead of 12? Yeah it will make his voltage 24 instead of 12, my bad half asleep.
