H/O Alt + Batt help.

I'm looking to go bigger very soon but before I begin to make any purchases I have to be sure that I will be able make the power needed. I want to install (2) Orion Hcca 12.2's in my car with around 4kish+ RMS. I drive a 2005 dodge neon srt-4. The problem is my stock alt(140ish amp i believe) is controlled by the factory computer. If i were to purchase a H/O alt would this then mean I would just pull codes and my amps be pulled down to a factory level? Is there a way to run this setup without the H/O alt and just run with some extra batts? If anyone has some suggestions on setups it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help, been learning ALOT here.

if you dont wanna fry yur vc's every month then yea yur gonna want to go with a H/O alt go to DC power they have soe of the most badass alts around from what ive seen

Yes, you can run a higher amperge alternator even tho the voltage is controlled by the computer.

I'm just worried that if I purchase the alt I will get it on, throw codes and see no gains because it is getting controlled back down by the computer. Can anyone enlighten me more about this? Also what size alt would you all suggest for this application?

Thats not going to happen. The computer controls voltage not current. Your voltage will be same as stock but you will have double the current available.

Thanks for all your help so far Iraggi. I understand what youre getting at now. With the factory alt and an extra batt or 2 in the trunk people are seeing very noticeable voltage drops at even 1500w rms alone. I feel I could maybe get by that with the correct alt/batt combo. Anyone here have a suggestion on what size alt and batts? Thanks for all your help, just trying to get a good understanding of what I am going to need before I start my build in a month or so.

With the extra batts their drop will be more with a factory alt. The batts are pulling the alt down even further from the charging current. Now if you have an Iraggi Alternator and extra batts your fine. The alt can handle the extra charging current of the batts and current of the amplifier.
