New Blackberry is a pain!

I have been sitting here for a few hours and i cant seem to figure out how to get a mini sd card to work for my blackberry pearl. I think its a formating issue but i reformatted it a few times and that doesnt "seem" to be the issue. All im trying to do is add songs to listen to and to use as a ringtone. Its on the verizon network if it matters. Any experience with this problem?

The card worked just fine in my blackberry flip, then i switched to this phone because the other one sucked. The mem card worked just fine in my moto q9c which is also a smartphone

When i hook the phone up to the computer with the mini sd card installed it shows up but i can not open it. I can add the files to the phone with windows media player fine but once i open them on the phone it says i need to reformat the card which i have done 4 times?

all this for free ringtones!!

This Has Happ. To Me All I Did Is Take The Card Out And Wipe It Off And The Phone Where The Card Go's

ok i figured it out. I tried to wipe the card and formatted it from the phone and that worked. I was trying to format the card from the laptop. opps
