barros57
kx519, I had a brushguard awhile ago with 2 KC daylighters. I sold the lights with the plow. I still have the brushguard and I might be buying 5 more KC's from a friend. and i dont know how to set the gains with an o-scope. I can do it with a multimeter/dmm, I will try to find that vid My 93 chevy truck Orion HCCA 15's Build 6K HID's 2 orion HCCA 15.4 2 AP30001D's 2 optima yellowtops, 2 C&D 270fr's, all 3 tsunami 1/0, CS144 190 amp Rockford p200-2 Rockford p200-2 Rockford p300-1 Kole KX1 5500D -broken

barros57
I was figuring out how to use the o scope today. i just had it hooked up to the computer headphone jack from a external speaker to the computer. Would you call this clipping? near the end when i turned on the bass boost. It goes from a good sin wave to a pointy edge,. alan412
Looks to me like you didn't calibrate the scope properly. Do you have a manual for it? I would suggest reading over it until you fully understand how to operate it. With the o-scope i use, i plug it into the wall and turn it on. i connect the scope probe to the cal. hook the line should be directly in the center, if its not adjust it with the position knobs if the line is slanted you must adjust the trace level. usually you have to use a small phillips screw driver. all of the calibration knobs should be turned all the way to the right( this is for the scope i use, may apply for you too) i always start by setting all the knobs to the center and then working from there once the scope is calibrated you can go on to checking your headunits max volume before clipping followed by setting your gains hope this helps you out a little (Headunit) Pioneer DEH-P3100UB (Speakers) Phoenix Gold RSd 65cs (4 Channel) Alpine MRP-F300 (Subs) 2 15" Audioque SDC2.5 (Box) 7.27 cubic feet tuned to 31 Hz (Mono Amplifier) Elemental Designs Nine.1 (Wiring) 1/0 Knukonceptz KLMX (Batteries) 2 C&D Tech 75 a/h

But where should i connect the ground when i am calibrating it? And how do you know when it is calibrated? -just when you have a straight flat line on the X axis?
