01xtreme Posted November 20, 2009 Report Share Posted November 20, 2009 I think a problem with 6x9s is because the edge of the cone are different distances from the center thus causing the cone to flex and distort. Will most people notice this? No, absolutely not. Some people think you gain alot of volume from going to a bigger speaker, but from my experience this is not a big enough difference to matter. I say go with whatever speakers you can fit ( if it uses 6.5's go with those, if it takes 6x9's go with those).
