i tried this once when i got my xbox 360 (used).

i hooked it all up and there was no video, only audio. so a friend of mine told me it was the resolution that was wrong, so he changed the output from hdmi to the regular scart cable, then the video was back on, and we then changed it to a resolution my tv liked better.

i dont know if this will help at all, but it worked for me.

Its working now on the standard rca's but I had it hooked to my computer monitor with HDMI since the monitor is 1080p compatible. It worked on the monitor every other time. Guess ill try the HDMI again later.

yes it will work on standard rca´s, while you have your xbox 360 open, try and lower the resolution. then hook up the HDMI again.
