JesseJamesDallas
Just hooked up dual alternators, but now my "Battery warning light" on the dash will come on, or flash sometimes, until I add a load to the system (like turn on the AC, or lights) Both alt's are charging like they should on a volt meter, and the battery's are New.... The Alt's charge wires run to the front battery first, and then I have a 4/0 welding cable running to two more battery's in the back of my Suburban for the amps... I assume the alt's are fighting each other, or the computer is only letting one alt charge at once till there is a load added, and then the second alt cuts in... Is there a way to keep the battery light from blinking on and off? Was thinking maybe there is some kind of Alternator Regulator Controller I maybe able to use, so both alt's will work as one...Or maybe a dual alternator regulator, so that One regulator could control two alternators....(or 3 or 4 alt's) Or maybe is there something I need to ground better maybe?
