bluegerm Posted December 27, 2009 Report Share Posted December 27, 2009 Whats up fellows. New to this board and need an opinion on the mids mentioned in the OT. Not set on these but just wanted to match my subs. The alpine type r's only come in 2-way styles and I was also wondering if 3-ways are better than 2-ways just because they're 3-way? I drive a 98' f-150 and am in research mode as far as replacing some door speakers. 6x8's are the stock size in the doors and Type-r's only come in 5x7. Do I need to get 6x8's just for the sake of size and more sound or are the 5x7's mentioned equivelent?I need 4 of them. I plan on running them w/ a Rockford fosgate punch 250 a2 2 channel amp in a 2-ohm stereo load. I have other questions but not regarding mids and highs.
