brynm Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Just bought an Eclipse CD5030 and I noticed it says it is not compatible with AAC files ( ie: iTunes). My question is if I have AAC files on the ipod and hooked up through USB will the HU be able to play the songs?

brynm Posted January 17, 2010 Author Report Posted January 17, 2010 I haven't installed the HU yet otherwise I would. If I can't I'll probably just return it and pick up a Kenwood KW-X993 that has AAC support.

melonhead Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I think they won't play if those files are on an actual disc, that's what Crutchfield told me. They play just fine off of the ipod. I own a CD3100 and don't have any problems.
