1985 Buick Regal Limited Build Log

Wasn't sure we would ever see this beast on wheels again! But getting closer to a rolling chassis.

Also got the shortened studs put into the rear. Got a bunch of grinding to do on the caliper to make the 13's fit. Sucks ass to modify a "bolt on" kit, but they will look good once the calipers are all ground down and powder coated.

What kind of spokes did u go with?

13" x 7" Zenith of California before JD went crooked! I consider myself VERY lucky because that I know of, I received my rims in his very last batch he actually sent out before he took off with everyones money! All stainless steel and black powder coated with laser engraving.

The hub ring with laser etching and serial number:

The total package:

Little closer look at the laser etching on the lip:

The "semi" finished product with the rubber mounted up:

I should get a picture of them with the black powder coated KO's as well. That last picture doesn't have the chip, the chrome ring, or the black powder coated "hat" on the knock offs.

zeniths are top of the line when it comes to spokes. I didnt know JD is all bad now, does that mean u cant buy new zeniths anymore?

Yeah, you can still buy Z's, but JD split town with like 12-15 peoples money with nothing to show for it. I can't speak for all theirs, but with tires mine clocked in at just under $2,600. So it adds up fast! And it might even be more people than that I heard.

I believe Wire Wheel King is the only place you can pick up Z's now.

Not the best pic because I just snapped a couple with the phone. The rims and tires are slightly dusty, but a pic of the finished product:

Be prepared to actually see what the hell is going on! Lmao. Didn't get much done this weekend because we were working on some stud issues on the front rotors, and had to celebrate "Cindo de Mayo" with the kids....fun to watch them hit a pinata and make absolutely no progress on it at all!

Anyways here goes.

Driver side front assembly with gearbox installed:

Passenger side rear. Disc brake conversion kit installed:

Passenger side suspension:

Passenger side suspension from the front:

Passenger side assembled with rims/tires on:

Shot from the front of suspension and rims/tires on:

Drivers side suspenion assembled with rim/tire in place:

Drivers side from the front with the rim/tire on:

A nice shot of my buddies shoes! Lol:

And lastly the gear box and engine mounts:

Next on the list of "to-do" is some severe modification on the rear calipers from the "bolt-on" disc brake conversion to get the rims on the rear, and then it will be onto the engine.
