manny10473 Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 ok.. so i got a belt with my alternator a few months back.. i was told that it was for the exact same truck i got which is a 93 explorer..so finally last week when i went to swap out the old belt for the new 1 my new belt was about an inch off..now if i replace the pulleys could that help out.. and please dont flame me for not doing that when i initianally got it..i just didnt have time.. also the new belt is one of those belts with more grooves
Iraggi Alternator Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 If your belt has more grooves its the wrong belt. You need the correct belt. Your not going to change every pulley on your truck. Thats not realistic. Whatever company you dealt with must not know what belt is supposed to go on your truck.
