My parents refuse to contribute towards my education. As such, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting financial aid for school. But I got lucky, and mi padre owns his own business, and it didn't do shit last year, so I get a grant again this year. Afrodeezyak Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 From what i understand that number is what they would like for your parents to contribute, Im going to WSU and my family contribution was like 5k filing under my mom but they will give you the options of loans for the rest of the expenses.... So your parents dont have to contribute but it could result in you having to take out loans.
