4 quantum audio 4-ohm dvc subs and 1 1210d hifonics amp

So my 15s came in the mail today, direct from quantum audio via audiosavings at ebay.com.

I am very impressed with the look of these subwoofers and I have also heard that they are pretty well rounded.

I decided to go with the 4 15s because of my trunk space.

I drive a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria which should supply me with ample space to build a box to spec.

The dilemma:

Through recent research I have found that I made a very newbie-ish mistake.

I only bought one amp and can only wire the subs in 2-ohm or .5-ohm operation.

The amplifier doesn't say it is .5-ohm stable and the safest way to wire up is to run it at 2-ohms.

Damplifier, Dynomat, other dampening materials are f___ing expensive.

I know you get what you pay for, but i would like to get less.

Disheartening i know, but nevertheless funds are low.

The project so far:

4 quantum audio 4-Ohm dvc subwoofers Cozmic series- 359.90

1 Hifonics 1210d 1200 watts rms at 1-ohm<900 at 2-ohm>- 169.95

2 sheets 3/4 inch thick mdf board- 68.17

Total invested so far- 598.02

Still needed:

25 foot of 1/0 awg wire

Dampening of some kind (probably going to go ghetto and use roof seal tape)

Yellow top optimo battery or battery of equal or greater power distribution

Please feel free to give me any suggestions felt necessary.

Also I am going for a clean finished product, having the subs and amp showing in the trunk while hiding the space surrounding the box.

Basically a nice flat area in the trunk so it looks clean and neat with no wires or wood showing.

I will put pictures up along and along as the build progresses.
