Deck, Amp, and Other Stuff

alright so i have a 2007 mustang coupe and i want to keep the stock door subs but put in a FI SSD 12" powered by an Eclipse ZA1200, with the subwoofer handle the amp? My after market deck will be a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X993, will it support two subwoofer hookups since the adapter for the integrated subs have their own plugs. should i use a splitter of some type or just plug both in? also will i need a new battery instead of a stock one, and will i need a new alternator or could i use a capacitor even though i know those are bad for the amp. if you need any more information ill try and give you it. im trying to keep it cheap, thanks in advanced for any insight on what i should do.

doors dont have subs? theyre full range speakers when stock generally.

the sub will handle the amp fine as long as you know what your doing and you dont THINK you know what your doing.

i have never seen a headunit that has 2 sets of sub preouts. just because it has L and R doesnt mean that you can use that for 2 different amps. thats to hook up 1 amp.

you dont need a new alternator and you certainly dont need a crapacitor.

If your saying that you want to keep the stock subs and add your own. i dont know why you would want to keep the stock ones hooked up since that would probably just ruin the output of the aftermarket woofer

It's a audio package. It's called shaker 500. They put a subwoofer in each door. Each sub is 250 watts. The reason I don't want to take them out is beacuse I want to a) beable to have bass with out my car shaking like crazy. b ) I don't want huge holes or empty space in my door.

and they might have some cancellation issues with the aftermarket woofer...

and that fi will outperform anything stock or even in an audio package by a mile..

and how will leaving them in make your car "not shake like crazy"?

well about the shaking thing, i just want to be able to have like a wow factor, not really shake, i didnt know who to put it lol. they are 8" i think. i would just like having them because i also dont want to have to take them out along with the wiring. im thinking about getting a wire splitter that is used in studio recording because it should be high grade wires, if they make them. and also if you wouldnt mind, could you help me with the port? i want it to be tuned to 33Hz (what FI says is good) but i dont know what to make the dimensions, im thinking about having the box be 13Hx22Wx23D it would be made from 3/4 MDF, also since it is going into the mustang, it is a two level trunk, i would like to make to box adjust to the trunk, would i lose cu.ft.?
